Un mensaje de Sach sobre Suzanne

Dear Friends,

It has been more than a week and the enormity of this loss is setting in like a sleeper wave at Stinson.  Thank you for all the love and support you have provided, and for all the memorials and remembrances I am seeing posted around the web.  This past Saturday, some of you came by the house in what I hope was a moment of catharsis.  I was thinking how happy it would have made Suzanne to have so many of her loved ones here, surrounded by flowers and food and connecting so many of the parts of her expansive life.  You could not be in her presence and without being changed and lifted up somehow, even to the end.   When we bring the parts of her that each of you hold in your heart together, it’s as if she is here with us again, if only for the moment.  One day I know that will feel like the joy she brought me each day instead of the sorrow I am lost in today.  I can not think of her smile without breaking down, but I also know that its memory will keep my heart full and my purpose clear for the rest of my life.

For now, I can only thank everyone for the help in organizing the wake here, and look ahead to a celebration of her life with all of you, confirmed for June 29th here in Berkeley.  I will probably not use this chain much going forward. Even though I still haven’t fully captured all the right contacts, I will move to individual emails and invites as much as possible.  Please don’t hesitate to pass these notes on to anyone who hasn’t seen them and be sure to reach out so I can make sure you get all the invites and details for June.

Jorah, Kiran and I are devastated  but Suzanne’s strength, through all of you, holds us up every day.  The world has lost one of its greatest lights, and it will be our lifelong act of love to rekindle and restore that light in any way we can.  In the meantime, may you all walk in a world graced by her love, kindness and formidable intellect.  She wanted us all to be happy and safe, and as hard as that is right now, that is what we will be.

Peace and Love,
Sach
