Más noticias sobre Chando en su vuelta por Ruanda
Dear friends and family,
Here is the latest update on Chando in Rwanda. It appears she is having a great time and is working hard. Here are some excerpts from her most recent emails.
From Friday
“Today, at Hope and Homes Orphanage, we were perfecting the fields. We were hoeing and leveling, and carried trees for about half an hour. Our field’s going to be sustainable! The kids are very cute, but I think I’ve given away my hat for good, just because I never got it back! Oh well.”From Monday
“Today, we finished building the fields at Hope and Homes Orphanage. We have two soccer fields, and one volleyball field. The soccer fields have sustainable goals made out of trees and the pitch is dirt that we hoed and leveled. The volleyball field is mostly grass, and has a net. It’s a great achievement. So today I played a lot of soccer, and consequently have very bad blisters on the balls of my feet. Oh well. :D”From Tuesday
“We went to the Kigali Memorial Centre today, wow. Of course, there are some criticisms, but for the most part it was brilliant. Here’s one thing you can tell people Rwanda has decided:
L’education est devenue notre voie pour l’avenir,
Education is our path to the future
Education
Understanding
and
Response so that Never Again remains that way, and not Again, Again.”
Well, that’s all for now. We’ll send you another update soon.
